Founded in 1973 in San Francisco, Scott Fly Rods has been manufacturing high-performance fly rods for nearly five decades. Beginning with fiberglass, Scott has remained on the cutting edge of rod design and technology ever since, with a full lineup of multi-modulus graphite rods along with the heritage fiberglass. Scott rods are now handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, which has been the company's home since 1993.

Scott Centric Fly Rod
Cutting-edge Centric series fly rods deliver new levels of stability, recovery speed, and range, while giving anglers tons of feedback through the easy flexing tip sections and highly transmissive blanks. These are the most efficient rods Scott has ever created. High line speed, flat, stable loops are easily generated at any distance with minimal effort from the caster. Centric rods combine new tapers and multi-modulus lay ups with a new resin system to increase fiber density and reduce weight, and they feature the new-generation ARC reinforcement for greater stability along multiple axes. And just to top it all off, we designed new standard-setting componentry for Centric rods that redefine functionality, durability, and beauty.
Scott Centric rods are fit with Flor grade cork, new titanium stripping guides with super slick zirconia inserts, new low glare Snakebrand Universal snake guides, and a new fully milled reel seat featuring speed threads, easy grip knurling, self-indexing hoods, micarta inserts, a special Delrin lock washer, and type-3 flat black hard coat.

Scott has reinvented the hollow internal ferrule to make it more flexible, stronger, and more than 20% lighter, while also combining cutting-edge fiber and resin systems in the most advanced multi-modulus layups they've ever created. New multi-slope tapers were designed to take full advantage of the new materials layups. The results are rods that help solve one of the toughest challenges in medium action fly rod design: how to create a rod that both bends deeply and remains stable. Scott G Series fly rods balance lighter in hand, have much more stability through the middle of the rod for better tracking, and generate higher line speeds. Sector fly rods advance our award winning ReAct technology with new tapers and our new Carbon Web. They also introduce the most cutting-edge fly rod components ever created.
Scott’s all new Carbon Web technology improves torsional stability and rod durability by encasing the unidirectional fibers in a web of ultra-light multi-directional carbon fiber.
These fibers help counteract torsional forces giving you better tracking and power for long linepickups and redirecting casts.
They also help to reduce the propagation of micro fractures from stress or impact that can run in unidirectional layups.
Sector rods are fit with newly designed components that defy harsh saltwater environments, redefine reliability, and enhance angler experience.
They feature all new CeRecoil stripping guides with nickel titanium frames and super slick Zirconia inserts, along with Recoil nickel titanium snake guides for low friction and corrosion free performance. Flor grade cork grips are turned to our modified wells shape, and the new fighting butts feature a thick soft rubber for greater comfort in tough fights or while bracing on long casts.
